MINNESOTA – With early, in-person absentee voting starting in Minnesota today and ahead of Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to the state, progressive advocacy group Stand Up America is announcing new efforts to help get out the vote in Minnesota. As part of a seven-figure, multi-state campaign to encourage Americans to vote absentee as early as possible or vote in-person before Election Day, the group will contact nearly one million Minnesotans this month.
Through a massive peer-to-peer SMS texting campaign powered by 4,500 remote volunteers, the group is encouraging Minnesotans to register from their homes, request and return their absentee ballots as early as possible, and vote early in-person before Election Day. While polling consistently shows Joe Biden leading Donald Trump in the state, Stand Up America is contacting nearly one-fourth of eligible voters in the state to help support progressives up and down the ballot that will support a progressive policy agenda.

“Donald Trump is fundamentally unfit to serve the American people—and Minnesotans know it,” said Stand Up America spokesperson and Minnesotan Ryan Thomas. “This year, Stand Up America is investing in Minnesota to help deliver the state for Joe Biden and help elect leaders up and down the ballot who will fight to protect voting rights, expand access to the ballot, and unrig our corrupt campaign finance system.”
Stand Up America’s seven-figure campaign will contact over 20 million Americans in nine other battleground states, including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin.
